David Bowie, classic rock band logos, and more recently Tyler The Creator’s immersive worlds all show how music can be amplified through strong visual identities. Today, anyone can release music and songs can spread more rapidly than ever. A clear identity system therefore becomes increasingly more important to create longevity and recognition beyond a single release.
The project began as a technical exploration of using AI for texture rendering within a controlled 3D workflow. Using Fred again’s album USB as a starting point, I developed a simple 3D object and a visual world around the release.
While the official artwork for the album is strong, I saw an opportunity to build a more cohesive identity system connecting the album, the USB002 tour, and the music itself. The project explores how typography, symbols, and custom icons can form a unified and scalable visual language around a music release.
